What is the relationship between Knowledge and Creativity?
The relationship between creativity and knowledge is that knowledge leads to creativity since knowledge helps us to think and try to vision the idea of creativity from our heads to paper. Knowledge helps us to think of an idea, while creativity helps us to create and put it together to something amazing. Creativity is linked to knowledge because of imagination, both elements must work together to get creative and make an idea from both Knowledge and Creativity.
Both Knowledge and Creativity must work together for each of the functions to work properly together. If one or the other loses the relationship and balance between the two, it can be difficult when it comes to trying to do art, design, and craft. Since I’ve also talked about the 3 topics of art, design, and craft, all 3 can only work properly by using knowledge and creativity. If they go over one another, or try to use one function over the other, it wouldn’t work as much when it comes to doing art, design, or crafts since if you don’t use creativity and only knowledge, your work will be very bold. If you don’t use knowledge and only use creativity, you are losing the lack of imagination as well as planning it out, your work will come out as a mess.
Without showing the true balance between knowledge and creativity, your whole work of art, design, or crafts, won’t stand out to other people or even yourself. Such as with me, when I was only using knowledge by an idea I had with art, I lost creativity in the moment, making my work of art very messy and just bold, I had the idea but my lack of creativity, didn’t made my art stand out and disliked what I have created.
When I only used my creative side of my head, without knowledge, I didn’t know how to plan it out correctly on paper, especially thinking about where to start with my art. From the lack of knowledge I had, I only scribbled a lot of things that make a form but not a shape where you can see it, it was all a mess on the paper that I was only looking at.
But by combining both knowledge and creativity, I was able to draw something that I had in mind by knowledge, using creativity to draw my idea but it wasn’t a mess or looked bold, it was something that I felt happy with. Sometimes my drawings can be everywhere when it comes to having a lot of knowledge of creative imaginations, but I needed to plan it out and see if it would work or not, depending on personal stuff that I had to do in my life. I would have to come back to it or rethink it for another time.
In the end, knowledge and creativity are important functions to have that show always be used to work together in any situation and when doing art, design, or crafts.
