Artist Statement

The most important aspect of art and design is expressing yourself and feeling a connection with your work. For me, creating art is a personal choice, not something I do because I am told to. When I make art, it brings me happiness and joy as I learn and experiment with new techniques. Although it can sometimes be stressful, the opportunity to try new things in art is a rewarding part of my journey and will help me in my major.

My motivation in art and design comes from my love for my family and friends, as well as my lifelong passion for art. I have been drawing and creating since childhood, inspired by color, forms, and creativity itself. The encouragement from loved ones and my personal enjoyment keep me pursuing art. Happy memories, dreams, and goals inspire my work.

Even though some may value other careers, my true interest has always been in making art, exploring techniques and media, and enjoying the creative process.

Based on the world we live in, it’s hard for someone like me to do the stuff I want to do with art. It was all based on money, whether art would make money or not. I get many doubts; I just get so tired of it from hearing it every day. Saying stuff about my choice that it won’t go anywhere, not everything has to be money all the time, is about doing the things that make you happy. I know it isn’t easy to do, but I won’t give up on my dream, my passion, what makes me happy, something I want to do in my future. I could go into the film set, comic work, or anything where I can draw; I could see myself doing something that I love to do in my future.

In the end, I will do whatever it takes to reach for my goals and dreams, just for me, not for anyone else.
